I like free and Crested Butte is on my bucket list of places to ride. I would vote to get to Telluride the day before (9th) because we need to get an early start that first day though. We still need to figure out the car shuttle though which could be a factor to consider in all this.

We have been offered the use of my friend Eryn's house in Gunnison if we want it. Gunnison is 2.5 hours from Telluride, and is next to Crested Butte. She says, and I have heard that riding in that area is "the bomb". I like this idea because it allows us to explore another part of Colorado and save some money. Eryn will not be there, so we'd be house sitting for her. We could all arrive on the 7th and stay through the 10th and just drive to Telluride that morning, or we could stay from the 7th to the 9th and have a hotel in Telluride the night before we ride? Thoughts?
